simulation workshops

Cost effective training tailored to meet the needs of your organization.

Value for money. You can train up to 20 people in one or two days for less than the cost of sending a single delegate on a traditional classroom course.

Building your project team. Every successful project brings together a team of people including directors, managers, project support, end users and suppliers. Our simulations are a great way of building a project team in a realistic but safe environment.

Tailored to your needs. We can tailor our training material to meet the needs of your organization, whether you use PRINCE2, Agile the APM BOK or your own methodology. This ensures the consistent use of your organization’s management processes and project documentation across the whole team, including external suppliers.

Online delivery. All our simulation workshops are delivered online and can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the world.

WHY SIMULATE?

Most people learn by doing. Complex skills can best be developed by allowing people to make decisions – and then experience the consequences of those decisions in a safe environment.

Traditional teaching methods alone are ineffective. Passive learning methods such as lectures and slide presentations are not always the most effective methods for developing complex skills. Our simulations are a highly engaging way of learning.

Cost effective team development. Simulations are a great way of helping a project team to work collaboratively online.

Our solution is a true innovation. We are proud to work in partnership with Prendo Simulations. Their pioneering simulations model the ambiguous nature of many of the challenges project managers face, including complex and unpredictable human dynamics.

“Business schools desperately need to innovate the way they are teaching leadership skills, and the simulation is a radical improvement on the outdated ‘chalk and talk’ approach.”

“Simulation is a great for embedding learning in a fun and engaging manner.  It is an integral part of the learning pathway for our client-facing project managers.”

HOW IT WORKS

Our one-day Project Planning and Control simulation requires no previous experience or training. Participants learn the core skills they need to plan and control a school refurbishment project.

Our two-day Advanced Project Management simulation is for more experienced staff. Participants are responsible for the management of a project to build a major sports stadium

Participants work in small teams to plan the project. The teams experience the consequences of their planning decisions and will need to react to any risks as well as unexpected issues.

Once the project is complete, they’ll receive feedback on their performance from the project’s stakeholders.
